General Manager Linda has spent a bundle giving us a beautiful and clean place to enjoy a good meal at a reasonable price. The variety to choose from is mind boggling: everything from pizza to fresh seafood to traditional Chinese to sushi. Even a generous dessert buffet with fresh fruits, pastries, and make-your-own sundaes.
The Golden Town Buffet offers great food at highly competitive prices but some people don’t like the competition and have started a mud-slinging campaign. The usual local fascist media has jumped in to try to kill new business that outperforms the sleeze and junk dealers in the area. Inexpensive, clean, welcoming? They can’t allow that. It’ll make them look bad.

If you live in Ravena-Coeymans, you know exactly what we’re talking about. Now Glenmont has the bug.
But the central question is: Why are Glenmont and surrounding area residents allowing this to happen. Why are you allowing misinformation to rob you of a new business, a compliment to your community?
Albany News 10 must be starving for stories. On February 13, 2014, in a ridiculously misleading, inaccurate and very likely politically motivated slander of the Golden Town Buffet Albany News 10 practices some pretty lousy journalism when it makes the false impression that an employee the Golden Town Buffet was recently involved in identity theft. The report which is written so unclearly makes it seem that the Golden Town Buffet is at fault, when in fact, the culprit was arrested in connection with an investigation launched in September 2013! Four men have been arrested, apparently working on their own and just happened to be employed by the Golden Town Buffet. This is just another instance of shabby small town journalism killing hard working people.
We and many we know are regulars at the Golden Town Buffet and neither we nor anyone we know has ever had a problem with the place. We do have reason to believe that local greasy spoons can’t stand the competition offered by the Golden Town Buffet: the Golden Town has an incredible selection of delicious food—all-you-can-eat, in fact—a beautiful atmosphere, it’s clean, and the staff are warm and welcoming! You’d think the area would welcome an inexpensive place like the Golden Town Buffet, where you can get just about anything your palate desires at a fraction of the price you’d pay at one of the local pizza joints, smelly Chinese takeaways, or even the local pseudo-Japanese hibachi joint. It just goes to show you that Albany, if it can’t beat you, they’ll get you with lies and dirty news reporting motivated by dirty politics!
We’ve read the News 10 reporting and we’ve interviewed the owner/manager of the Golden Town Buffet. We have the facts! It’s media harassment pure and simple! Such corrupt media practices damage our communities and kill businesses!
Show your support for hardworking, good people and get a good meal and a courteous welcome at the same time.
