Here’s What We Have So Far:
In the first three days or 72 hours that the Poll has been running, we already received 278 responses. Here are the first results of the Poll and you probably won’t be surprised.
95% of responders said they got more information from this blog than from local news media.
First of all, four questions related to the blog itself and the responses were very positive: 95% of responders said they got more information from this blog than from local news media. 85% of responders said that this blog is an important community resource and another 85% said they would gladly do business with a business that supports this blog. A whopping 80% of responders say they rely on this blog for truthful information about their community. That’s very good news, especially because it is a community resource and businesses should be aware that a high percentage of people reading this blog would support a business that supports this blog. This translates into dollars and sense (and yes, cents, too), and indicates that this blog has become not only a political force but has potential to become an economic force, too.
85% of responders said that this blog is an important community resource
We know that this blog was an important source of information before the November elections and that many people got important information from this blog that influenced their choices. Our reader figures soared in the days prior to the elections to 3-5-times their normal levels between November 1 and November 7, so we know a lot of people were getting their information here.
95% of responses think that Coeymans law enforcement should be the responsibility of the Albany County Sheriff and the New York State Police, and 80% think that the Coeymans Police Department should be eliminated
One of the central questions of the poll concerned law enforcement in the town of Coeymans, and the answers we received to those questions were very important and should be taken into consideration by the new Coeymans town board: First of all, 95% of the responders are from RCS/town of Coeymans. 95% of responses think that Coeymans law enforcement should be the responsibility of the Albany County Sheriff and the New York State Police, and 80% think that the Coeymans Police Department should be eliminated. These figures are so high that they can’t be ignored by our elected officials.

Get the police out of RCS schools!
As for the presence of the Coeymans police in our schools, an overwhelming majority of responders feel that we should get the police out of our schools, while 10% think we need them there. Again, the overwhelming majority (80%) want the police out of our schools. The figures don’t tend to support the Coeymans police department in any way at all. What is the RCS CSD and its teachers dominated board of education going to do? How will they respond to these numbers? Will they fire Coeymans police officer Danielle Crosier and give her back to big-DoDo-Daddy Darlington?
100% of responders think that the Coeymans and New Baltimore town boards should not make any major decisions, including pay raises, until the new boards take power in January 2014
Another important point is that 100% of responders think that the Coeymans and New Baltimore town boards should not make any major decisions, including pay raises, until the new boards take power in January 2014. This means no major decisions, including any pay raises. We’re repeating that for the benefit of the outgoing town council members. The questions referring to the village of Ravena don’t bode well for Ravena mayor John Bruno and his crew. 80% of responders say No more Bruno, Warner, Case, Bailey, Persico in Ravena! 65% think that mayor John Bruno should resign and go to Alaska. Only 5% think Bruno is doing a good job and should stay put. Looks like it’s bye-bye Bruno and so-long Warner, Case, Bailey, and Persico.
80% of responders think that the Ravena Health and Fitness Center is an illegal joke
Is it bye-bye Cathy Deluca, too? 80% of responders think that the Ravena Health and Fitness Center is an illegal joke, 10 percent think we need the RHFC. But 0% of the responders say that he/she or at least 1 member of their household is a member of the RHFC. Makes you wonder why the 10% who think we need the RHFC aren’t members nor are any of their family members. Wonder if they’ll leave a comment and clarify that question.
55% or our poll responders said that the Ravena Coeymans Youth and Teen Activities Center should be saved
Ravena mayor John Bruno and hatchet woman Ravena village trustee Nancy Warner did their best to sabotage the Ravena Coeymans Youth and Teen Activities Center. They did nothing but trash it and make life miserable for the Center and the Coeymans police department collaborated with Bruno and Warner to make certain life was and stayed miserable. People noticed and so did their kids, and maybe that’s why the current village of Ravena mob is on the way out the door. A clear message was sent to Ravena by the town of Coeymans when they rejected Marty Case in the last election. But 55% or our poll responders said that the Ravena Coeymans Youth and Teen Activities Center should be saved, while 25% think we don’t or didn’t need the Teen Center. Looks like the Teen Center would win out in an election by a landslide. But unfortunately, Bruno and his mob already killed it.
The fact is that local parents let the kids down, too. But we also fault the parasite parents who were right there when there was a place to dump their kids for nothing and came with a handful of gimme and not even a thank you! Shame on you! You invested nothing in the Center or in your kids’ so it was no skin off your nose when Michael Fisher had to foot the bills and fight the battles. How do you look your kids in the face? Shame on you!

They’re going down!
And shame on Josephine Biscone-BRUNO (Josephine P. Dority neé Biscone) of Prudential Real Estate, the Ravena insider who, with Ravena insider Robert “Bob” Fisk, leased the Fisk property to Michael Fisher for the Teen Center. Now that Michael Fisher has renovated the property Josie BRUNO and Bob FISK, under the pressure from Ravena hate-pair, mayor John Bruno and trustee Nancy Warner, refused to renew the lease to the Teen Center and even refused to sell the property to Fisher. Two negative points: First of all, Bruno and Warner hate the kids so much they did all they could to kill the Teen Center. Secondly, Bruno and his team of lunatics now have another empty building, more distressed property, to line Main Street, Ravena. Nice work Bruno, Warner, Case, Bailey, Persico. Maybe that’s why your days are numbered and residents want you all O-U-T !
To be honest and to report the full story, however, we have to say that a whopping 10% of responders think this blog is useless. Makes you want to ask them why, if it’s so useless, do they bother to read it and even take the poll?
We’re very pleased with the initial response but we still have a long way to go. If we have these numbers in just 72 hours, we’re really looking forward to the figures in a week, in a month.
