Stupidity Should be Painful!

New Baltimore democrat candidates steal campaign signs, they harass elderly widows, now their flagship rag refuses  to print the interviews of five (5) New Baltimore candidates (Dellisanti, Ruso, van Etten, Russo, and Vadney) opposing the democrat clique (O’Rorke, Angelis, Schrauf, Jordon, Brooks). Catskill-Hudson Newspapers publisher Mark Vinciguerra, Ravena News Herald Editor Melanie Lekocevic, and Catskill-Hudson Newspapers reporter Jessica Mosier have a lot of burning questions to answer to the people of the town of New Baltimore and to the candidates.

They’re Publishing our Newspapers and Writing (or failing to write) the Articles, too!

We say this must go to the Greene County Board of Elections for investigation. We say that the people, the voters of the town of New Baltimore have been deprived of due process in the upcoming elections, have been deprived of important information through the negligence or indifference and unprofessionalism of the Catskill-Hudson Newspapers, and its management , publisher Mark Vinciguerra, Ravena News Herald editor Melanie Lekocevic, through the negligence and indifference, the stupidity of Catskill-Hudson newspapers reporter Jessica Mosier! We say the elections in New Baltimore should be postponed until the investigation is completed and the Republican/Conservative/Independence candidates can get equal treatment, fair play, and the people of New Baltimore can get the information they need! This is very serious and could seriously impact the direction the town of New Baltimore takes in the next four years!

We recently asked the question of Why? the Ravena News Herald gave extensive coverage to the New Baltimore democrats running for office and completely ignored the Republican / Conservative / Independence candidates.

Shortly after having posted the article we received several e-mails from the New Baltimore Republican / Conservative / Independence candidates and we’d like to share the information with our readers.

This may have been a stupid — but no innocent — mistake on the part of the Hudson-Catskill Newspapers reporter, Jessica Mosier who was supposed to have done the interviews of the candidates Nick Dellisanti, Jeff Ruso, Shelly van Etten, Sally Russo and Ann Marie Vadney, all running on the Republican / Conservative / Independence ballots. And it seems very bizarre that Ms Mosier managed to do a rather extensive article on the all-woman democrat bunch running for various offices in New Baltimore. How is it humanly possible that Mosier completely overlooked the very popular opposing candidates? But she did. And by her stupidity, Mosier may have done considerable damage to the Republican/Conservative/Independence campaign. Was that the whole idea? That’s a question we all should be asking ourselves right now.

It couldn’t have been just an oversight, not if the Ravena News Herald, the Daily News, and the Greenville Press have any knowledge of what’s going on in their area of coverage. How can they have missed the Republican / Conservative / Independence candidates just a week after they covered and reported on their meet the candidate event? (New Baltimore Republicans strut their stuff)

In fact, on Friday, October 18, 2013, Ravena News Herald editor Melanie Lekocevic writes in her e-mail to one of the candidates:

“I [Melanie Lekocevic] spoke with the editor of the Daily Mail about this. Our New Baltimore reporter, Jessica Mosier, will cover your story. Unfortunately she is away for the weekend and can’t make the Sunday event, but she will contact you next week to do a profile of the candidates. Her story would run in the Daily Mail, the Greene County News and the Ravena News-Herald. Thanks again for keeping us in the loop.”

On November 1, 2013, the day after the extensive coverage of local candidates in Coeymans and of the dems in New Baltimore was published in the Ravena News Herald, that same candidate writes to Lekocevic:

“It is unfortunate that to date our local papers have not provided the citizens in our community with information in regard to the varying  choices and options available to them on election  day.   Having experience in public/community relations I would think that each of you in your role(s) would want to be as bi-partisan as possible and present to the public clear, concise. and researched information on all issues and candidates.”

Well, that’s what makes them fools. Someone at the Ravena News Herald, the Hudson-Catskill Newspapers, the Johnson Newspaper Corporation is going to have to be held accountable for this obvious scandalous misconduct. The people of the town of New Baltimore should be getting their tar and feathers ready and head to town hall and then to the offices of the Hudson Catskill Newspapers and drag publisher Mark Vinciguerra out for a good flogging.

Vinciguerra was the director of circulation at the Albany Times Union, a.k.a. Times Useless and took the position as publisher of the Hudson-Catskill Newspapers in May 2013. As publisher of Hudson-Catskill Newspapers, Vinciguerra oversees the Register-Star and Daily Mail, both dailies, as well as the weekly Chatham Courier, Windham Journal, The Mountain Eagle, Ravena News-Herald and Greene County News. Obviously, Vinciguerra came to Catskill with the fleas he caught at the Times Useless (“You lie down with dogs and you wake up with fleas.”) He brought the same unethical practices of the Times Useless to Catskill, in other words.

 To show just how schizoid this Vinciguerra is, we’d like to take one of his statements that shows how two-faced, or at the very least out-of-contact, misinformed, indifferent he might be:

“I really just want to get immersed in the community and find out as much as I can,” he said. “For me to say that I want to do X, Y or Z I think would be premature. If nothing else, I want to come in with open eyes and open ears.“ You have to have a trusted, reliable news source, and I don’t think that’s changed,” said Vinciguerra. “I think that locally based newspapers and newspaper companies and information providers are most well-positioned of all to succeed into the future.” (Source: Vinciguerra to take reins of Hudson-Catskill Newspapers by Kyle Adams (April 24, 2013))

What a load of mealy mouth crapola! Bullshit! Our question to Mr Vinciguerra is this: Who’s going to get her walking papers for this? Lecekovic or Mosier? And how are you going to compensate the candidates, the people of the town of New Baltimore? We’d like to hear from you Mr Mark Vinciguerra, Ms Melanie Leckecevic, Ms Jessica Mosier! What’s your story going to be on how you missed the bus on such a big story?
