Locals Bite the Hands that Defend Them and Kiss the Asses of Those Who Abuse Them

For the past four years we have been writing about the scandalous conditions that are rampant in the Ravena – Coeymans – Selkirk and the New Baltimore communities. We have rubbed local noses in the piles of political scat and have lambasted local politicians and public employees for their gross ethical misconduct and their incompetence. We have called upon residents to raise their voices in protest to improve life in their communities. In the course of exposing the corruption in the local communities and beyond, we have come to a regrettable conclusion: Residents in the RCS and New Baltimore communities bite the hands that defend them and kiss the asses of those who abuse them.
Scientific research and the psychological literature provide evidence for the observation that culture and biology go hand–in–hand. How you live becomes part of your legacy over time; given enough time, it also becomes part of your genetic makeup. While this biocultural model is rather new on the scene, our observations of the RCS and New Baltimore communities actually support that scientific theory. The culture of abuse has existed for so long – – for generations – – that it might actually meet the criteria for the biocultural model. The fact that local residents have been abused and used by corrupt local politicians and officials may account for the fact that locals seem to like the status quo; they actually seem to like the abuse and the corruption. So when conditions improve, local residents feel uncomfortable and complain about the new improved conditions. It would seem to the outside observer that locals like being treated like dumb animals.
I’m from Coeymans!
For about two years now, Doughboy – Dumpy Dumplin’ former Coeymans police chief Gregory Darlington has been gone. Word on the street was that he was forced into resignation. He’s now allegedly driving a schoolbus and doing part – time work at the Babcock Funeral Home (Ravena) as a sloppy usher.
The Dumpy – Dumplin’s sweetheart protégé Dirty–Hands Jerry Deluca exited with Darlington but the special interest group, the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs, hired ole Dirty – Hands to be their executive director. Says a lot about the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs when they need to hire Coeyman’s garbage to represent them, doesn’t it?
Once the Dumpy – Dumplin’ and Dirty – Hands were out of the picture, the Town of Coeymans woke up and got smart: they hired a professional law enforcement veteran, Peter J. McKenna, to be Town of Coeymans police chief.
During the Dumpy – Dumplin Darlington’s stint with his sidekick Dirty – Hands Jerry Deluca, we regularly received 3 or more complaints against the Coeymans Police Department for violations of protected constitutional rights, favoritism, nepotism, abuse of police power, and any number of other violations and unethical conduct. We reported on it all on this blog.
In addition, the corrupt administration in Ravena village hall colluded with Dirty – Hands Jerry to get his wife, Cathy Deluca, a plum position with the Village as “director” of the Ravena Health and Fitness Center, itself tainted with every imaginable kind of corruption, including misrepresentation of Deluca’s status to the Albany County Civil Service Commission to get her non – competitive civil service status. It didn’t take long for Cathy Deluca to kill the Ravena Fitness Center, something she had done before to at least 2 other fitness centers but no one in Ravena Village Hall seemed to care about wasting more than $105,000 a year on Cathy’s playpen. That went on for almost 3 years (= almost $300,000 in taxpayer dollars)! There was a clear Albany connection in all of this when you consider that the Warners, Nancy Warner, a village trustee, and Hal Warner, a former Albany cop and now village justice, had their daughter in the Albany County District Attorney’s office, the corrupt democrap Soares, and Darlington’s wife was a secretary in Soares’ office as well. Word is that Mrs Dumpy – Dumplin Darlington is now working as a secretary in Tom Dolan’s vote mill, the Choices program in Ravena. Will the incest never cease in Ravena – Coeymans?
Back to the Coeymans Police Department…
Since Chief Peter McKenna was hired to be Coeymans police chief, he has slashed the police department budget, put officers on the street, cleaned up the staff in the department, and has actively reached out and responded to the community. Chief McKenna has established effective liaison with the Albany County Sheriff and the New York State Police to avoid duplication of services and to improve security coverage in our area. In short, Chief McKenna has been a blessing to this community.
Anyone with a complaint or a problem can access the Chief to discuss the issues; if the Chief is not immediately available, he faithfully returns the call. We know that from personal experience.
Coeymans hasn’t experienced that kind of professionalism and response for generations, if ever!
We received a message from a local resident a couple of days ago that someone had posted a number of primitive and illiterate signs throughout the Coeymans area attacking the Coeymans police department and “thanking” Tom Dolan. All said and done, the message that the sign poster wanted to send was unclear. But the signs did prove one thing: local residents are so ignorant that they can’t even appreciate when they are being treated fairly. Those signs also prove that there’s no community, no unity in the RCS region. It’s a bunch of lost souls wandering on their own, still hiding behind idiotic childish signs. The intended messages of the signs was lost and all we can say from the signs is that someone wanted to express and opinion. But we later received an actual sign and we’re reproducing it below. We also got the story behind the signs.
Over the past 4 or so years of closely observing and monitoring the RCS community we have been able to identify one overriding characteristic: ANGER. The whole community is angry. Psychologically anger is the inability to accept reality. While that’s understandable, we have worked hard to get local residents to think about how to change things, how to turn that anger into positive action. But the bottom line seems to be that locals like being angry. But, dear readers, anger is so counterproductive; anger can also be a form of self – harm, as many of you already know. When people are angry they say and do stupid things. When you say something stupid it’s out there and you can’t call it back. When you do something stupid you can’t undo it, can you? So, when you’re angry and you like being angry, you obviously say and do stupid things, and so the conclusion is that you like saying and doing stupid things. In other words, you are angry about what’s happening to you but you do and say things that perpetuate and worsen the situation. You’re ignorant because you don’t know any better. You’re so ignorant that even when something good happens, you are still angry, and the vicious circle gets wider and wider until it includes everyone and everything.
A Local Resident, Daniel B, has an Ax to Grind

One version of the story is that a local resident, Daniel B, has an ax to grind allegedly because a minor accident occurred involving a town vehicle and Daniel B’s windshield. The story is that a small piece of material flew off the truck and damaged Daniel B’s windshield. Daniel B wanted the Coeymans police to issue a summons to the town or the town vehicle operator for the incident. No law was broken and Daniel B was advised that a summons could not be issued. Besides, it was explained, there is a sign on the back of the vehicle, “Do not follow,” so that such incidents can be avoided by not following too closely. Apparently Daniel B was unable or unwilling to accept the explanation and became angry. The signs began to appear. But is Daniel B. so stupid not to know that his insurance will more than cover the damage to his windshield…if he has insurance, that is.

This is yet another instance where an individual vents his frustration and anger inappropriately, and puts his ignorance on public display. He accomplishes nothing. Why is it so hard for locals to use their heads and apply simple common sense? Why do locals insist on making asses of themselves? Why do locals bite the hands that feed them and bless the hands that beat them? Answer: It’s the biocultural model at work.
Here’s a bit of news: Coeyman’s very own psycho-cop is coming back. It seems Ryan Johnson has outlived his loan to the DEA and will soon be back to terrorize the streets of Coeymans. Beware of the creatures of the night! Lock your children in at night! The dark, evil side of Barney Fyfe on steroids will be coming back and allegedly will be on night duty. The dark will not be a safe place for Coeymans!
